GZUNews: 70 Anniversary Commemoration of theMay 4th Movement was held in the lecture hall on the afternoon of May 5th.The outstanding collectives and individuals were recognized at thecommemoration. School leaderships, teachers and students attended thecommemoration, including Chen Jian, Zheng Qiang, Song Baoan, Wang honglei, LuoChangjiang, Yang Wei, Jin Daochao, Zhao Degang, Xiang Shuwen, Li Junqi, ZhangQin and Academicianof Chinese Academy of Engineering Ma Kejian. The commemorationwas hosted by Vice Director of University Affairs Committee Yang Wei.
Thecommemoration startedwiththe solemn national anthem.Managing VicePresident Wang Hongle readout the recognition of the decision, for our school 2015-2016 annual outstandingcollectives and individuals in recognition. Totally 3104 postgraduates won thescholarship. 15 graduate summer practice teams were awarded the Summer Practice Excellent Team, includingsummer practice team of School of Mechanical Engineering.34 postgraduates from School of Public Management were awarded the Social Practice Advanced Individual. 260undergraduates were awarded 2016 "OutstandingGraduates" of GuizhouUniversity. 90 postgraduateswere awarded 2016 "Outstanding Postgraduates"of GuizhouUniversity. 10 students from School of Electrical Engineering were awarded the Top Comprehensive College Students. 10student unions of HumanityCollege were awarded 2015 “Top Collegiate Students Unions” of GuizhouUniversity.10 students won the President Special Award.
Six YouthLeague Committees were awarded the tenth batch of “May 4th Red Youth League” of GuizhouUniversity.66 Youth League Committees in foreign languages and Literature of YangmingCollege were awarded Advanced League. 728students were awarded Excellent LeagueMember. 417 members were awarded ExcellentLeague Cadre. 10 Young Volunteers Associations of School of Materials and Metallurgywere awarded Excellent Volunteer Organization.
Party Secretary Chen Jian emphasized we youths shouldstudy and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech-----Unityof Knowledge and Action; making practical use of the knowledge.
